Uptown offers a warm and nurturing environment where parents, students and teachers work as a team.  Parents are welcome to assist in the classrooms and further contribute by helping to add to our range of innovative extra-curricular activites.

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is based on committed teaching in the spirit of an inquiry-based curriculum.  Our teachers continue to engage in a process of professional development throughout their time at Uptown, seeing themselves not only as educators but also as learners.  Their love of teaching ensures that they strive for excellence in themselves and their students.

Exceptional Children

Exceptional children are catered for through a dedicated department staffed by qualified and passionate specialists in this important area of education.  A TAG (Talented and Gifted) programme and a Perceptual Motor Programme also complement the work of this department.
