Dear Parents,

I warmly welcome you to Uptown School. In a very really sense, whether you are a family continuing your child's education from Uptown Primary at this brilliant new campus to be, or a new family to the school altogether, we are all pioneers. Pioneers are people who set out with high levels of ambition and excitement to discover and or create something special in their lives. In this case, we all have high ambitions for the quality of life and performance the new Uptown School will provide in the educational experiences of our children.

There is something special about being a part of a new school. Rarely does one have the opportunity to lay out the future of a school, to establish the standards and benchmarks from which it will be measured and to set the special tone which is characteristic of all schools. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and in the years to come something upon which one can reflect with pride. As well, the nature of a school pioneer is absolutely consistent with the IB's Learner Profile - especially as it applies to being a risk taker. In this sense, however, it is one well calculated and based on the knowledge that a Taaleem education is one characterised with quality, respect and many years of experience, successfully operating high quality educational facilities in the UAE. We want to make this new school something special, we undertake to make every effort to ensuring that is the case. Our focus will always be on the welfare and learning outcomes for our students.

We will endeavour to ensure a high level of open and honest communication with you and in return, hope that you will do the same. It is with such commitments being maintained that the wellbeing of our children will be assured. Our programmes are intended to challenge but at the same time, we wish all our students to experience success in all its forms and in the process feel high levels of confidence about themselves to the extent where they know they can contribute positively and effectively to the society in which they will live. We want them to have confidence in the knowledge that they can make a difference for the better, no matter at what level or in what field they operate. I therefore look forward to meeting all our families as the years ahead unfold and hope that with your positive involvement in the life of the school and through your children's involvements and contributions to Uptown, it will quickly become regarded as an outstanding school of choice in Dubai.
