In line with Uptown Primary's planned expansion for the new academic year 2012/2013 and our intention to offer the IB MYP (Grade 6) programme in addition to IB PYP (Pre K - G5), we are seeking applications from appropriately qualified and enthusiastic teachers interested in joining our school community.
Current teaching positions available for 2012/2013
International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP)
English/Generalist Teacher
Uptown will commence the MYP Program in Grade 6 in September. This is an opportunity for a teacher with a passion for this subject area to establish and grow the program as we expand our population toward the IB Diploma offering. Experience in the MYP is an advantage, however a capacity to positively engage children and a commitment and enthusiasm towards building this subject offering in the school is essential.
International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP)
1 Primary EAL Teacher
With our expansion of classes in the Primary section, additional teaching staff are sought to join our IB World School. While experience in the PYP is an advantage, a proven capacity to assist in individual and small group learning, in a child-centred environment is vital. The role of EAL teacher in our department requires specific qualifications in English as an Additional Language.
Please send your application, including CV and contact details of three (3) confidential referees to the Mrs. Fiona Dharsey, PA to the Principal, by 20 May: fdharsey@uptownprimary.ae.
Kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
