The Grades 1 and 2 Swim Gala will be held at the Uptown Primary campus with Grade 2 swimming from 8:30am to 9:50am. Grade 1 will be in the water from 12:45pm to 2:00pm.

The Swim Gala for Grades 3, 4 and 5 will be held at Jumeira Baccalaureate School (JBS) from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

We expect all students to attend. Students will need to wear their PE shorts, hat, trainers and a t-shirt in their House colour (Wasl-Yellow, Dhabi-Red, Hatta-Green, Nasr-Blue). They must also bring their swimming costume, goggles, sunscreen and a towel. Separate changing facilities are available for our use at JBS.

The Swim Gala will consist of races over varying distances using different swimming strokes. The students will be competing to win the Uptown House Swim Trophy and medals for boys and girls in each age category. We will also be holding parent and teacher races, so come prepared to swim!

Uptown School Swim Galas have always proven to be colourful, sporting and noisy affairs. This year we are hoping for more of the same. It is where you can witness many students with outstanding swimming ability and many more who are ever improving. All are eager to win points for their respective Houses and potentially win the Uptown House Trophy.

Parents are more than welcome to attend the Swim Galas and we hope to see you there.
